18.00-19.45 pm          Intermediate: Live stream!

There will be no  classes during the month of August.

Props:
If you do not have props at home it is no big deal. BKS Iyengar started with house props prior to the industry of props so as long as you are creative you can make up almost every prop with household objects. Ideally, it would be great to have:

  • 1 yoga mat
  • 2 yoga bricks (can be a stack of thick books)
  • 1/2 yoga blankets (can be house blankets or thick large towels)
  • 1 yoga belt (real belt or a scarf or anything similar)
  • 1 yoga chair (or any house chair that is firm and stable)
  • 1 bolster or a few home pillows
  • some wall behind you, especially if you need a more supported practice

During the class:
Please keep your video on so that I can make general corrections when and if applicable. You will be muted during the class, if you have an urgent question do unmute to ask but at the end of the class, I will allow some time to answer any relevant questions.

Price:
The full price for the General class is £7 and the concession rate* is £5

The full price for the Intermediate class is £8 and the concession rate* is £6

Once you have paid, we will send you an individual ZOOM link; we ask that you do not share this with anybody.

Concession rate*:

Applies to Full-time student, State pension holders, 65 and over, Job Seekers Allowance claimants, Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payment claimants) and any Key Worker as defined by the government publications on maintaining educational provision and guidance for schools, colleges and local authorities. If you can not pay the concession rate, you can make a donation of your choice.

Beginners/General: A safe exploration of the living architecture of the body through precise physical alignment. Progressive, safe and profoundly transformative, this class builds inner strength and stamina, flexibility and balance, concentration and meditation.

Intermediate: A safe exploration of the living architecture of the body through precise physical alignment. Progressive, safe and profoundly transformative, this class builds inner strength and stamina, flexibility and balance, concentration and meditation. Pranayama, the philosophy of yoga according to Patanjali and basic principles of anatomy are regularly taught in this class. This class is for committed Iyengar yoga practitioners with at least 5 years of practice and that have a regular practice of Sirsasana and Sarvangasana.
